| P'u Yi |
|
According to mythology, Japan's first Emperor Jimmu, a descendant of the Sun Goddess Amaterasu, was enthroned in the year 660 BC.
While the myths are not considered historically accurate, it is a commonly accepted fact that emperors have reined over Japan for more than 1500 years, and that they have all descended from the same imperial family.

Classic China Baby Costume |
|
This Asian Figures robe, boots and pillow were hand-sewn and hand-embroidered. A very technical doll in the sense that it is completely hand formed and molded with cloth as a base.
The robe was made to closely depict what I was exposed to during my months of research and developing for this Asian Collectors line. By far one of my favorite faces due to the focused innocence captured.
*This doll is based on a patter of a well-known Dutch artist.
